This is a challenge cache.  The cache is at the posted coordinates and is a 1.5/1.5.  The overall cache difficulty has been adjusted because of the challenge.  To claim a find you must sign the log and meet the requirements listed below.  You are welcome to sign the log at any time, post a note, and log your smiley once you verify the requirements are met.

Why the John Wayne challenge?  Colorado is a part of the wild wild west.  I get a kick out of driving through grazing areas and coming across random herds of cows.  Ah, moogles!  The challenge requirements:

  • Find a minimum of 75 "Hunting Area" + "Horses Allowed" + "Watch for Livestock" attributes
  • Minimum of 5 of each attribute
  • All cache types count

I qualify for this challenge with 18 Hunting Area, 236 Horses Allowed, and 123 Watch for Livestock attributes.

Use the challenge checker below to verify you qualify or to check your progress:

Good luck and have fun!

WOO-HOO! "A Big Mouth doesn't make a Big Man", "Courage is being scared to death but saddling up anyway." Two of my favorite John Wayne quotes, PILGRIM! Today I'm on a caching run "Out East" saddled up next to my dusty partner Benji59. Happy to report I do indeed qualify for this one, and even happier to add my ink to yet another Challenge Cache log. TFTC

I joined forces today with GeoDog74 as we hit up these challenges and some lonely caches out on the plains. Will log as found when I confirm I qualify.

After using the challenge checker and discovering that GanderGoose had nine qualifying caches, Spartacus Geodog and I went for a ride on the plains. There was utter peace, beautiful vocalization of songbirds, and the nine caches. On the way back north, we saw a gorgeous pronghorn couple on the road. Thanks for the placement, lasouthpaw!

[FTF] 5-13-2023 at 5:05 pm. This road is nice and dry. Found the container to the soothing sound of overhead planes. I qualify. See:

Today was rough. I worked, but had to leave early with a migraine headache. After going home, taking medicine, and a 4 hour nap, I was mostly recovered. I headed to an event, then off to a powertrail of challenge caches. That was a blast involving rolling skies and powering through muddy roads. Afterward, I headed northwest and cached back into civilization. Another great day of caching in the books!
Thanks for the cache!
