My puppy Orizaba and I hiked with a friend to climb a mountain that rises beyond the final stage of this marvelous multi-cache. On our descent, I stopped and checked each stage of the sequence. Everything's in place and in good condition.

Yes!! For so long have I been scheming to find this geocache! So, to finally find it is indeed very sweet! I started out early in the morning in order to beat the construction road closures. I had everything all perfectly planned and mapped out. I made it to the trailhead when I realized I had left my "good" phone at home and had only brought my "bad" phone (the battery dies very quickly). Dangit! I pressed ahead anyway, and used my phone as efficiently and sparingly as possible. WP 1 gave me trouble but I finally used the little hint in the description and found it. From then on, it was smooth sailing! All the coords were right on and all the WPs are in great shape! After I found the final, I took a quick look at my phone in time to watch the battery die! I grabbed a geocoin which I intend to move on to Teewinot's Trek. First to find in three years!!

WOW! I had not realized that this remarkable cache was the first 5/5 D/T cache in our state!!! Again, WOW!! Thankfully, jeeps can't do this one, and I hope that the long hikes and individual efforts needed to find the stage caches will always be an essential ingredient of this superb experience. It was one of the Tahosa caches that totally turned me on to caching many years ago, and I hope that will be the case for others in the future. Anything other than this would lessen the past experiences for those who found the cache as it was supposed to be found and will diminish the pleasure of the find for future cache-seekers!

The Jeeps are getting the grand tour, This cache was the first 5 x 5 in CO. And has been visited by several of these jeeps relatives. Shame that very few cachers even know how to look for this special cache.

Since I have Columbus Day off from work, why not go discovering caches. I completed the Chef's Special last weekend so I figured I would go out in search of dessert today since the aftertaste of the entree was still on the palate. I began the day with 96 caches so I scoped out a plan so this would be #100. I stopped and logged Lord Grayson on the road from Loveland. Then I grabbed two more lower on this trail. That positioned me for an extra special dessert, I only had to find it. The instructions from the entree were right on and WP1 was found fairly quickly, as were WP2 and WP3. WP4 was another matter. I looked all over for that little bugger and couldn't come up with it. So what's a guy to do? I pulled out my Droid and was happy to see I had signal so I pulled up the cache page. Thanks to a previous poster I zeroed in on the location. I had looked in that place before and didn't see anything but this time I put my hand in there and the only thing that bit me was the WP container. With that I was off on the final leg. Got to GZ and after about 10 minutes the prize was in hand. Woo Hoo!!!! This delicious Dessert is #100 for me!!!! I left a Star Wars Stormtrooper, took nothing. Thanks for the awesome cache!

Took a 12-mile snowshoe trip today to climb a peak past The "Dessert"'s final stage, and checked the stages and the final of this marvelous cache. Everything's in excellent condition, and awaiting seekers after the Spring 2012 snowmelt! Retrieved a lonesome TB, and left a nice geocoin that's come from Ohio.

Finally got it done! Started this one with my wife last year, but the snow set in. Finally thawed out enough to trudge on up and bag this one. Still snow on the trail, but it's slushy and not real deep. There were some drifts in spots that were 3 to 4 ft deep that we had to work through though. Fantastic hike! Nice view from the final. See the pic. Another trademark Tahosa cache! Awesome! Delicious dessert! My wife actually found the last two stages and the final, so she gets credit for that. I get to post the find though! :-) Thank you Tahosa for all the great caches and thanks to Denali41 for the maintenance. TNLNSL. TFTC!!!
The view!
The view close up!
The proof!

Yum Yum - nothing like some dessert to finish off a good meal! And I enjoyed the four samples from the dessert cart before settling on the big treat. Thanks so much for placing these caches and treating us to a great repast! Now I think I'll lie down and take a little nap... :-)
