Welcome to the San Isabel National Forest ! This cache is easy grab-and-go most times of the year. Use caution in snowy weather. There is parking at the site for a car, pickup, SUV, or motorcycle. Motor homes and vehicles with trailers might reconsider, based on size. Access is easiest in a downhill direction, but traffic is usually light. Continuing south on CO 165 will bring you to several interesting places with caches (some regular, some premium) including South Hardscrabble Creek (Road 386), Bishop's Castle, and Davenport Forest Service Campground, a re-created 1920s-style campground with an interesting history and explanatory signs.
