On a geocaching road trip with geodog, Spartacus. Searched for the replacement, and based on the last two DNFs, put in a replacement cache. We appreciate all the work you did for this geoart. Thanks for the placement, ColoradoKids!

Well, this was our only DNF on the entire Bethune Cross. We arrived near sunset and looked for a while, using a flashlight as well, but no luck. Then a local came by with his truck and asked if we had permission to be on the land. We pointed out that we went only as far as the downed tree, and after a little chatting he lightened up and drove off. I think we convinced him we were harmless, which of course we are. Still, we didn't look much more after that. Do suspect that the original is gone, as may well be the replacement the cacher placed in May. If it's there, it's likely buried in debris at this point. Might be worth a check. Sigh--it's hard to take a single blue frownie in the midst of all that nice yellow smilie territory!
