Graneros Gorge is a hidden gem not far off I-25 south of Colorado City, CO. A short hike from where you can park takes you down to a mysterious stone structure that appears to have been a pavilion, possibly built by the CCC. The views across and each way of the canyon are beautiful!

When you take the exit off I-25, turn toward the east and take the short frontage road, which will turn into a dirt road. It's just a bit rough at first, but can by driven by any car with reasonable clearance in good weather.

We gave it a 2.5 for terrain because the approach involves a stone staircase that has washed out near the bottom, necessitating stepping down over the existing rocks.

A log extraction device may be necessary. BYOP

FTF! with nite_raven at 6:55am. Made the quick drive from Pueblo. This is probably the best condition I've seen this road in and the cleanest I've seen the parking area. Be nice if it's a trend for the better. Spent a bit searching the wrong spot. Not a bad place to start the day. Thanks for the excuse to visit.
