Welcome one, welcome all to the first Riddler's Cache!
If you have not done this before, you are sure in for a treat.
Getting from location to location with nothing but riddles as clues
Sounds fun, does it not?
To complete this cache, you must be ready to find clues and dash,
For many of the riddles are located within muggle heat.
9 steps must be conquered, but locations are subjective: you choose.
Depending on your choice, you might or mightn't discover what you sought.

The following are necessary items for the pursuit of this cache:

*Tweezers (maybe...or long nails)
*Pen and Paper (to write down the riddles so you can re-hide the cache)
*Good Eyes
*A basic knowledge of CSU and the streets in and around it (I have provided the map I used to plan the cache)
*Knowledge of symbolism, metaphors, imagery, syntax usage, etc.
*Your Brain
*The will to not give up

This cache is fine to do during the day or night, but is not advised during winter (mainly snowfall for that matter)...I say this because the steps might be covered in snow and it could be difficult or impossible to find them. Try it during winter at your own risk, but please don't post a DNF if you did it after a snowfall. Furthermore, none of the steps of the multicache are located within buildings. It is also important to note that the map I have provided outlines EXACTLY EVERYWHERE that it is possible for a step of the cache to be...if there is a sliver of land on the map, it's possible for a step to be placed there, remember that! The original coordinates will lead you to a physical cache site where you will find your first riddle. Afterwards, you will be lead to more physical cache sites where the riddle could be hidden anywhere and any way. The riddles will tell you exactly what you are looking for, though, so don't panic or give up.

As a prize for the FTF and incentive for people to attempt this cache, I have placed a TB and a Geocoin in the cache, along with various other small trinkets including a nerf dart, some toy frogs, and many stickers. No need to bring your own pen.

Congratulations to DENALI41 for the FTF!!!! It was a great journey that won't soon be forgot!
The RIDDLER'S club (those who have tackled the riddles and come out triumphed): Denali41, minatina, Team.Sticky.Pine, Niblit Sr, Cache U, Sam_I_AM, ShamRider, Barasaur, Honeybuzzed.

Also, please don't write about the final stage in the logs. If you do, know that you might be ruining the fun of the cache. This is meant to be a fun, albeit challenging, experience and I would hate to have people simply jumping to the final location without so much as a single riddle. Thanks!

So, as you head out to the vast unknown,
Led only by clues of my creation,
Pray that the seeds of knowledge within your mind have sown,
And that you are ready to brave the Riddler's Nation.

Post Reviewer Note 08/06/2018 By Heartland Cacher
Greetings,

We are doing a check of caches that have been disabled for an extended period. Please maintain this cache and post an appropriate note to the cache page.

As stated in the cache listing guidelines https://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance You may temporarily disable your cache to let others know not to hunt for it until you have a chance to fix the problem. This feature is to allow you a reasonable time - normally a few weeks - in which to arrange a visit to your cache. In the event that a cache is not being properly maintained, or has been temporarily disabled for an extended period of time, we may archive or transfer the listing.

PLEASE NOTE:
Today's notice is a friendly reminder only. Do not reply to me directly. Rather, please LOG A VISIT on this cache page and WRITE A NOTE Please do not use the "OWNER MAINTENANCE" log until you do the maintenance and the cache is ready to be found again with a status update and any intention to revive the cache. Several reviewers participate in cache maintenance tasks so a log posted in this manner is the best way to get your message seen. Without a log posted you risk having the cache archived.

If you have disabled this cache for the winter or a season, please consider this a reminder to post a notice for when you expect the area to re-open. Re-activate the cache if the area is actually open again.

After you have checked on it and it's ready for seeking again, great! You can re-enable the cache page http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 by clicking the link under the cache name or by checking the box that says the cache is active. If, however, you discover that the cache is missing and/or you decide not to replace it, then please remove any remaining pieces of it and archive it. This will open up the area for other geocachers to hide their own geocaches. You may also need to digitally relocate any trackable items still listed here. If a "Needs Maintenance" log was posted, you will also need to log an "Owner Maintenance" log to clear the "Needs Maintenance" icon from the geocache page. http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and I am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future. If the cache is not maintained or the status is not updated, it will be archived. Thank you for understanding.

If this sounds like an automated email template, that's because it is. I apologize for that but the volume of messages we get is such that templates like this make the process much more efficient. Thanks for your understanding.

I look forward to hearing from you. Do not reply to this email. It is sent by a no-reply mailbot so I won't get it. To respond, please do NOT send me an e-mail or a message center conversation as they lack needed functionality for reviewing. Leave a new "Reviewer Note" log here on your cache page. If you're not familiar with this process, see the instructions https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=97&pgid=74. I have your cache on my watchlist, and I will receive a notification when you write your note. All reviewer notes are deleted when your cache is published.

Additionally, please note that if I've not heard from you in 4 weeks, I may be forced to archive this cache. Don't let your cache get archived for non-communication

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to drop by and let you know that I'm planning on having the cache back up by the beginning of the fall semester (~August). As soon as it's ready, I'll re-enable it and post another note for everyone.

Cheers,
TWP

Temporarily Disable Listing 03/25/2018 By TheWritePad
Hello everyone!

Apologies for the delay in getting everything up and running. I had planned to get the cache completely fixed up by around August/September with some help from friends because some large parts of the construction in important areas would be done at that point. Unfortunately, I was at home in Puerto Rico during Hurricanes Irma and Maria. That meant that my life and work have been at a standstill for months (just got electricity back around 2.5-3 weeks ago). If you didn't know someone directly affected by the storm, you do now! (Yay?) Anyway, I've been trying my best to get everything going so I can finish the repairs that I had been planning for this cache. For now, and so that others don't attempt it without it being complete, I'm disabling it. But don't worry! It'll be back before you know it!
