Recently I have been collecting geocoins related to Scouting, and I wanted to create a cache where I did my Eagle Project. Special thanks to ForestnFrances for opening this location for me. I got my Eagle on November 1, 1992 while in Troop 553 of the Arapahoe District/Denver Area Council.

It took nearly 100 service hours and we were able to collect: 46 bags of food, 13 boxes of food, 16 boxes of treats, 43 cans of food, 1 bag of cat litter, 111 bath towels, 79 hand towels, 34 wash cloths, 29 blankets, and a few miscellaneous items like toys, combs, buckets and a dog bed. We put out fliers at every house in five neighborhoods stating that we would return the following week, and if they had any donations they could leave them on the porch with the flier and we would pick it up. It was a great success!

Now for the cache: The posted coordinates take you to a power pole near the parking lot. You will need to do a projection from this pole for your next step. Go 185 feet at a bearing of 51 degrees. If you did this correctly, you should be standing next to a statue of a child playing with two dogs and a cat. Once you locate this statue, you will need to do another projection to find the final. Your projection will be 340 feet from the black cat at a bearing of 13 degrees. Lucky, eh? This is where you will find the final, and sign the log. Please use stealth, I really like this camo/container. I launched two of my Scouting geocoin proxies from this cache. You can discover one of their codes inside the lid.

I must warn you, if you go inside, this cache could take hours to do, and you will most likely not leave alone.

5 Logs: Found it 5

Needed 2 multis to get to 100, these two were close to each other, we have supported DDFL for many years and I know both the COs so made the trek over to get them. Did the extrapolation before I left home. Container has some damage and will message the CO separately. This is multi 100 which checks a box on a challenge cache that the CO has. Give it a fav! TFTC!

What a sweet little multi! I wanted so badly to go inside and say hi to some furry friends!! Interestingly, I found what I thought was the container (a camo-taped film canister wired to a branch, but no log or lid) and then headed a few blocks down to meet COPackrat to do some other caching. I was describing what I found (she found it a while ago), and she gave me a quizzical look. Since it was so close, we went back and poked around a bit. Just a few feet away, I found the REAL container! How cute is that? It could use a little TLC - the "lid" has cracked in half. I was thankful that she brought me back to keep looking, as I was able to grab the coin inside! Thank you for placing this cache! (We think the other was placed by someone who didn't find the real one. Since it was in such bad shape, we removed the imposter.)
