3 Creeks merge in this beautiful valley

Monument Creek a little further down stream.

Hay Creek, Beaver Creek, and Monument Creek all merge just to the south of the cache.  This is one of those amazingly beautiful valleys in the area with great views.  Up the road is a great area to hike and a few other caches.  I encourage you to explore this hidden spot not often visited.

Congratulations to Christin for her first FTF!!! Way to go!!!

Found it, and took a moment to enjoy the beautiful valley views and cows grazing nearby in their pasture. I hope and pray that this bucolic setting doesn't one day disappear due to encroaching urban sprawl. SL. TFTH

So, what do you do after spending a few weeks in the deep freeze in Iowa especially when the temperatures are pushing 60 degrees? You guessed it, get outdoors and geocache. We were looking for a string of caches to get our legs moving and our lungs replenished. Gorgeous area, a lot different from upstate NY, where we moved from 1 1/2 years ago. Once we got to near the GZ, we knew where to look. TFTC

Thought I would get out and grab a few today and this area looked rather interesting. Cache is in great shape. Quick C@D. TFTC SL
