Headed West today, taking a route that only a geocacher would understand. I stopped here to take a break from the driving - and of course to find this cache. What a cool spot! And, so out of the way, that I would never have seen it if not for this virtual. Well, one item wasn't cool - it was just plain (I think the CO will know what I mean). Thanks for the fun virtual!

I ended up with a bonus day to go caching at the end of our vacation, so I stopped for a find on my way through Las Animas. This was a nice educational virtual cache here and helped me learn some things I never knew from school. I already sent the required answer. Thanks for creating this cool and educational virtual to find on my round about way toward home.

So, I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of increasing my word count average. It seems that there are caching statistical challenges that look at the word count averages in our “Found It” logs.

And now for today's trivia ...

NATIONAL SMILE POWER DAY
June 15th is the day we observe National Smile Power Day. This is a day for everyone to share the power of the smile.

From the good morning greeting and the first “How may I help you?” present yourself with a smile. No matter where you are employed, job seeking, retired or looking for new horizons starting the day with a smile is certainly more empowering than a pout or grump. Starting with a smile first is easier than trying to get there later in the day.

When you smile at someone, you are telling them that they are valued and worth the smile that you just gave them. Smiles are moral boosters and confidence builders.

Research has proven that smiling really does increase attractiveness and likability between humans. Smiling creates a greater trust and increased interpersonal cooperation. Smiling at someone can help them to relax and relieve their stress while at the same time, it will make you feel right. Smiling (even if you do not feel like it) will lift your mood and can make you a happier person.

HOW TO OBSERVE NATIONAL SMILE POWER DAY

Challenge yourself to smile more often today. Use a smile to disarm a tense situation, or simply smile during your daily tasks.

Thank you SECODSer for the Virtual.

We are always grateful to those who place and maintain caches for families like us to enjoy. This cache is in good shape. No spoilers here.

We are on a trip to TX for the Mega event GeoWoodstock. We hope to grab a bunch of counties and hang out with a bunch of cachers. Our aim is counties, challenges and Wherigos. Who am I kidding? We will try to get them all.

Thanks again for the cache.

Decided to hit the road for a geocaching mini trip. Looks like I am getting a nice variety of traditionals, a few virtuals and ECs. I am really pleased to find Colorado Spirit Quests. Thanks to all the COs who placed these caches so I can have my geo-fun.

Found it with Lorin05, GPS09, and NoNo signed as the Scotts, on a few days headed west. We stayed the night in Dodge and headed west this morning. Stopped by here for this virtual. Been to a few of these sculpture places, always cool to see the things people come up with. SL TFTC.

Took a bit of a long weekend, well five days anyway and hopped in a car with Boreal Walker and yellowdogs (AKA - Team Barcelona) and headed west aiming for parts unknown. This cache was one of those on the adventure. Interesting area out here and some strange sculptures to go with that. Enjoyed poking around trying to figure things out. Thanks for keeping this one going.

I am on a road trip with Boreal Walker and jREST from Minnesota to New Mexico and back meandering our way through as many counties as we could with many target caches in our sights. The weather was decent, although we did have a day that the temperatures reached 100 degrees and we were very thankful for the air conditioning the car provided. We enjoyed our journey and the many laughs along the way along with the great places some of these caches brought us to.
Our answers have been sent. Thanks for the cache! BigSmile

Wow! What a cool place. It was well worth the detour. The artwork reminds me of a similar place in Mullinville, Kansas. I took some photos and then headed down the road. Thanks so much for this virtual.

TFTVC This was some interesting yard art. There were no trespassing signs about so I only viewed from the street. Some of the themes may have changed in the 16 years since this published and some of the people may have been repurposed. I did not observe an Ike in the bunch.
As a bonus and what is really surprising is that it is paved the entire way here I was really happy about that
