An easy walk to a place filled with memorable moments. At Stage 1, despite what you might think you see, N ends in .089!
I made this a micro cache using a magnetic key holder. The first finder gets a mini-compass courtesy of my visit to Red Ribbon Puma Overlook cache. Anything you bring will have to be very flat & small. Enjoy your visit. Nearby, for the price of parking, you can try some fishing, hiking and there’s even a chance for a barbecue. Give yourself bonus points for knowing the last name of Tom.

Stage one provides a hidden clue to stage 2. Find it, read it, leave it and go to stage two.

At stage two, determine the area of the nearby window, add the 3 digit answer and subtract 52 to the given stage two N coordinate to determine final 3 digits of the N location of the cache.

To determine the final 3 digits of the W coordinate of the cache, find the nearby phone box and subtract 37 and the 3 digit box number in reverse order from the given stage two W coordinate.

Discovered confusion over last 3 digits of N coords. Confusion should be over as I have provided the actual last 3 digits to use.

Unarchiving cache.

It's really unfortunate this cache has been archived. I found it in 2006. Today I was in the area of the final with my puppy Orizaba and for the heck of it stopped at the cache site. The cache was present, right where it had been when I found it years ago. The container and the log paper were in perfect condition. Too bad that cachers who can't find something conclude the cache is missing, instead of considering that they and others were simply unsuccessful in their search for a cache that is still present. They were way off the mark on this wonderful multi!

I am archiving this defunct geocache to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair or replace the cache sometime in the future, please contact me via my profile, and assuming it still meets the guidelines, I will be happy to unarchive it.

Thank you,

It appears that your geocache has been under the weather for a while now. Geocaches that need repair or maintenance should generally be taken care of within a few weeks. Please check on this geocache to repair/replace it and post a log to indicate you have done so, or archive it and pick up any remaining cache contents as soon as possible. Once the geocache has been replaced and/or you have verified that it is OK, you can go ahead and enable it. Please contact me if you have any questions. If there is no evidence that the cache has gotten attention (e.g. cache enabled, or note posted to cache page) or I have not heard from you about this cache in a few weeks it may need to be archived.

Carefully read the coordinates for stage 2. Stage 2 put us in the middle of the river. Found an area quite a ways off that seemed to match the stage 2 description. Couldn't get the math to work to get to stage 3.

Stage 1: Found. But ... suspect that there's one or more problems with north coordinate, in particular, the second digit after decimal. We feel certain that we read it as a "0" at stage 1, but a "9" would make more sense based upon the information that must be acquired at Stage 2.

Stage 2: Believe we found 'window' and 'phone box' as listed in the long description. Pondered for a while about the meaning of the word "area", but were wondering what units to use. Then we realized that we needed the exact coordinates specified in Stage 1, and were not confident of what would result.

Looking into issue with cache. As a reminder to geocachers, there is an email service that allows you to reach the owner with cache issues in addition to the posting on the site. Why not try both. Please do not archive this cache.
