This cache is on the Hewlett Gulch Trail in the Poudre Canyon.  It provides a view of the creek you walk along from a loftier perch.  The hike up the hillside is awkward so take your time and pick out a walkable route.

Second try and I brought the better half. She found it. Tricky terrain and we found it a bit from the GZ. Nice hide, however. Thanks PM. SL.

Very foggy and cool when we got to the trail head. Every thing was wet from the recent rain and there was the sweet aroma of juniper. We headed up the hill about 300 feet from the cache. Wasn't too bad of a climb! The coords were spot on and I found the cache rather quickly. The way down was a little more tricky, but we made it. Had a nice day. TFTC

Tricky terrain. Lots of places to hide. No luck today.

I did a nice Father's Day hike up Hewlett Gulch today. My primary objective was to hopefully get a first to find on Denali41's new cache and I'm very happy that I was successful. After finding several caches in the upper gulch, I headed back toward the trailhead. On my way back I stopped to look for this cache. I was surprised by how much signal bounce there was near GZ because it was pretty open but I eventually made the find. Thanks Pixel Magic for placing it!!!

I hike the Hewlett Gulch Trail on a fairy regular basis with my puppies Orizaba and Chimborazo. It's fairly closer to home, and it's a great place because dogs don't need to be leashed if they have been trained for voice control. So today the three of us went up the gulch all the way to the top of the watershed west of Livermore Mountain. This new cache was along our route so we made the easy detour up to it and I signed the log. I also checked on a couple of my many caches along the route for maintenance inspections, and hid a new multi-cache along Gordon Creek.

In town visiting my kids and siblings. Out on a wonderful 8 mile hike with 3 of my grown kids. They each found one cache and I found 2. This one I found and my son found the brown snake. He was not happy. TFTF

Been on a FTF hound run whenever possible with the nicer weather showing up. Most, however, have been urban grabs and was waiting for an excuse to have a little hike action involved in the mix. Also, it's been a while since I scored a Pixel Magic find! Time to fix all of those problems in one go. A really nice day to go for a quick hike... turns out I wasn't alone in thinking so. The parking lot location was completely full and had to park down a way a bit. No big deal.

Hiked in with enough of a pace to get the blood pumping a bit, and almost had a nightmare of a story happen, but was narrowly avoided... Made it up to ground zero, not sure what the best path was to take, but managing. A somewhat quick find and sign once there, and off back to the trail I headed... and what should I come across? My very own car keys, dangling from a path of scrub I'd passed before. Guess they grabbed my lanyard! I thought what a nightmare it would be to make it back to the car, with no cell service, to turn up with no keys. Guess I had some reserves in the karma bank!

A hike, a FTF, and didn't even lose my keys. Score! Dropped off a trackable. I love this trail, so thanks for adding another blank log along in it for me! A pleasure to sign the log.
