This is a buddy cache for Trail Mix #28 but this one is farther on down the trail quite a ways. It is about 4 miles from the parking area to this cache via FR 514. It fairly close to the end of the road and it would be worthwhile to actaully go to the end for the view. The end of the road is not all that far from the Colorado Trail and you could probably connect up to it. I have to say that there are many great views in all directions from here. You can see downtown Denver, Turk's Head Peak by Waterton Canyon, Raleigh Peak, the Buffalo Creek burn area. Definitely worth the walk or bike ride (my preference) to this spot.

Follow highway 67 to Moonridge and then follow the signs to get to the archery range. You can park near it and you don't have to pay anything unless you want to also do some archery.

Note that this is a hunting area.

Wonderful hike along a ridgetop. In hindsight, a bike may have been a better way to experience this area, but we did fine on foot. Got a bit of rain on the way back but got out of the area before the major storm hit. TFTC!

Well we went to the end, expecting a view, but there was none. LOL! The smoke has created an annoying blanket. But it was easy to see what an amazing view this would be normally. Thank you so much for putting in the effort to place these caches in worthwhile hiking areas!

Went for a hike in snow (!) with "animjason" - this was the last of two geocaches that we found along the way. TN-LN-SL. Thanks !

2nd FTF of the day with Bhob. Keeping the monthly FTF streak alive since August of 2010 when I started caching.

Great buddy, and much further than the usual buddies. Thanks!

Thanks cajrrman! Logged Bennett Buddy from a ninth galaxy using c:geo!
