A small lock-n-lock container just off the Colorado Trail. Please bring your own pencil.
When we hike we always try to find a nice place for lunch and maybe a nap. This is just the spot on this section of the CT. This was the first area we hiked when we moved to Colorado, long before our geocaching began.

Parking is at the waypoint coordinates below, along the South Platte River. Terrain rating is due to the length of the hike, about 5 miles round trip, and the elevation gain. Please take water.

Great views, so enjoy.

Enjoyed a sunny day hiking along the trail to detoxify from a Thanksgiving feast. Snow in spots and LOTS of wind - but a great day to introduce a newcomer to geocaching. I think she is hooked! Cache container has a broken lid - but log is dry. Thanks for the hide!

Yay! Found this while omw back to car at Seg2 TH. Container lid is busted & ziplock is torn. But the log is singable. There is patchy snow since 2 days ago when we got a little bit more. More steady snow 1-2” deep further up. Came here to find the cache & remove my microspikes. TFTC :-)

Found with evgnhiker on an attempt to get to Raleigh Peak. This area is one of my favorites and the last time we were this far in on segment 2 of the CT we had no patience for geocaching. I made the approach to this more difficult than it should have been and found the right way back to the trail. Thanks for the hide!

Going after TM #21 yesterday wasn't enough on my poor feet, so I decided to hike Segment 2 today to get TM #22. I was last up this way to get FRMT cache, so today was a bit further on the trail with this one as my turn around point. The plastic bag is still intact and survived the winter. Looks like the bikers use this spot as a playspot off the trail. Cheers!

I was on a mission to check up on a bug of mine that was supposed to be in one of the caches out here. Great day of hiking. The lid was destrooyed, I put the entire container inside a plastic bag. 11 total caches on the day. TFTC. On to the next.

Teamed up with "animjason" and another good friend, for a nice hike on segment two of the Colorado trail - this was the seventh of eleven geocaches that we found along the way. TN-LN-SL. Thanks !
