This is a trickier cache in our Family Fun series around the beautiful Waneka Lake area. If you know your classic rock, paid attention in English class, and studied your SAT words you will find this with little(ish) difficulty. Note that these coordinates only lead you to the STARTING POINT at a fork in a trail to find this cache. Finding it requires you to 1) Solve the 4 stanza riddle in stages below [including the title itself] 2) Look and feel closely ... really closely ... at the end. There will be lots of help in the hints (if nothing else, Googling the hints and riddle key words will lead you to the answers), but save that for a last resort. Have fun (we really did coming up with this one).

PS - The cache is a tribute to the sneaky cacher Alpenist.

WESTWORD FACING RIDDLE

The Beatles sang about this number fine.
Go here first in order for this cache to find.
Even if your math skills are below par.
Once at the post, the destination is not far.

As far as the Antartic you will not need to go.
Just the feet in that direction you must know.
It's the answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything.
Plus 3 (or so) more that brings you near this bling.

Occidental is the daily world we know best.
But the opposite is the direction you should test.
Now in paces you will measure to your score.
The number of The Raven's raps on my chamber door.

(depending on your stride, maybe one or two more).

Think of Neil Young's 'Meridional' Man, and that song's hook.
However, it's in the opposite direction you should look.
Now probe carefully with your fingers and eyes.
Somewhere above this object's equator is the prize.

Have fun with this, our first puzzle, tricky cache for families starting out geocaching.

TFTC Given all the hype & build up, even with the COVID restrictions, I could not tattooist this challenge.
