This cache is not at the published coordinates, but you no longer need to look for a clue sheet at the coordinates. Just stop there, if you like, and take a look at the terrain.

In January 2018, I added the clue sheet to this page. It kept going missing from the guard rail.
Bring hiking gear. Note the terrain rating!! Recommend not bringing small kids!!

 Hints

Start from the parking coordinates listed on the clue. It's Forest Service public land. Otherwise it's nearly impossible to get there without trespassing. Trust me, I tried a lot of different options.

Cool cache! Got through the snow to find this great hiding spot. Always like the "non-micro" caches.
Thanks for the fun!

I've had my eye on this (haha) for a long time and was glad to hear that the clue at the listed coordinates had been missing for a while, as I had been there a few times and looked EVERYWHERE!!! Figured I was just being obtuse, even got out the UV light and examined the entire guardrail. Like that didn't get some weird looks from passersby... Got the word from 3WK this weekend (thanks, guys!) that the magic clues had been replaced and decided to see if I could get this off my list. I appreciated the legal parking coords and had a fine walk up to the cache location. Great view from here - you never disappoint! Thanks for the cool cache. I'll never drive up 24 again without seeing Cookie Monster!

I considered making an attempt for this one from the road just below the cache. I got out of the car and looked up and thought that there must be an easier way. I looked at the clue again and it had suggested parking so I drove up there. Longer walk but at least it wasn't vertical:) My first inclination was to walk up to the same elevation as the cache as shown on my topo and then walk around the East side of the eye. Once I saw what that looked like I went ahead and when up and over the Eye of the Tiger, oops I meant Cookie Monster. Once I arrived at the cache and I looked at the terrain, going over the top definitely seems like easiest approach. Thanks for the puzzle and the cache.
