Yee Haw! Sometimes I like how Geocaching gets me out and pushes me beyond my comfort zone. This was one of those caches. We had attempted to get to it this summer from the easy way but there was just no way down & across the water especially since I had just had eye surgery about 6 weeks earlier & was still recovering. Today looked like a good opportunity even with the couple of inches of snow still lingering. I headed out & ran into the big wall of the canyon. I found a safe way down for me & thought that was the wall the cache would be in but not. I realized I was going to be going further down & ended up close enough to the creek I could hear it flowing. The snow was really melting & dripping through the trees onto me. Fortunately soon I had the nice container in my hand where I took the TB & left a buck.

Out and about early this morning in a new area for me anyway.

Went straight to this one and did a few on the way back.

Now that the FTF has been claimed, I can write about this one. Was out with Atomic Corgi when this cache was hidden.

We hadn't been to this part of Mitchell Creek Canyon yet and were scoping a few potential hide areas. Castle Rock has been a little quite for new caches so we're hoping to hide a few while living in the area.

There wasn't anyway out here and the trails weren't the best but overall the quality of this patch of trees was a lot less harsh than I thought it would be. There were only a few spots that required bush whacking but you can tell that this spot is frequented a lot.
