A pretty slow Monday for me in Colorado but that was just what I needed after the half marathon yesterday.

I had originally planned to go for a cache closer to the Castle Rock Walmart but that didn't pan out because there was a construction crew on site when I arrived. So as I got ready to leave, I scoped out my next possible options and came across this cache.

About an 11 minute drive from where I was, I arrived and parked near the the maintenance lot to make the short walk over. The hint threw me off a little bit here but I found the cache not too long after expanding my search a couple of inches.

Whenever I find these, it reminds me of my first cache.

Ouch! I cut my fingers looking for this one. Be careful where you put your fingers, there are some sharp spots! I left a little blood behind and got to use my car first aid kit for the first time. Thanks for placing this cache for me to find. TFTC.

This was a great geocaching day! While @WindAtMyBack was working in Parker, I decided to hit the trails looking for special caches... difficult, Earthcaches, Virtuals, highly favorited, and ones placed by my friends. The day ended with a mail call to pick up my new pathtags.
Clever hide! I came up here because of the highly liked chalet cache and grabbed this one on the way back. Tftc!

I was out and about caching with herndonrd because I make him look good. He typically finds the caches while I look in all the wrong places. This was one of those rare occasions when I actually found the container instead of him. Hooray! After we did the whole sign and replace thing we celebrated our victory by heading back to the car and driving off to another one. Thanks for the fun hide and for getting me outside on such a beautiful day.
