A cache with a million-dollar view of Lake Pueblo!
This cache is within a huge area of public land, west of Pueblo Reservoir, where we & the cache-sniffing Corgis love to go exploring. (Unlike the reservoir itself, there is no entrance fee.) Turn off Highway 96, to the north. We often see pronghorn antelope, by the side of the highway, in this area! Terrain is a bit rugged, but no cliffs or anything. There is an area to park, a walk-through in the fence, then a few hundred feet to the cache. Cache is a small Tupperware-like container, about 6 inches long by 3 inches wide, filled with assorted goodies to start. Probably best to go in early morning or early evening, in the summer! Watch for snakes out there! Please rehide so that the container cannot be seen from any side. Thanks!

The first cache on my expedition today. A beautiful view of the lake and a nice trail to hike. CITO'd the area a little, took out a couple of cans, bottles and some firewood. Yes, even though there's no camping or fires in the park someone found a spot in the ditch next to the road. No need to leave those logs behind as a temptation for someone else, besides they'll look good in my wood stove.

I had to come to Pueblo today for a recall on my truck. It was 20 degrees when I got up and 75 this afternoon. Only in Colorado! After the recall repairs I hunted a few caches. I had a pretty good day except for losing my prescription sun glasses. It didn't take long to get my hands on this container. I didn't realize that this was so old until I looked through the log book. Very cool! The container and log are in good condition. I stood there for a while and enjoyed the view before hiking back to the truck and heading for home. Thanks for a great cache!

We were fishing in this cove so I had my huggle let me off with the dog so I could take him for a walk to this cache. It was a mighty warm day for mid October.
