Sparrow, common name of various small brown-and-gray perching birds. New World birds called sparrows are members of the finch family. Back in the days of the tall ships, sailors would get a sparrow tattoo for crossing a sea, i.e., from the US to England. A seaman with 5,000 miles or more under his belt earned the right to a sparrow tattoo. Sparrows represent freedom also.

I went for a fun 27 mile bike ride today to find some caches and managed to find 20 including this one at 11:31 am 3 minutes after finding another cache. Thanks for the cache and for making my route more fun!

February is usually a slow caching month for me, so I'm making an effort to find a few more this year. Drove over this way on my lunch hour and parked at the north end. Canada Geese have camped out here over the winter, I don't know if I've ever seen so much bird poop! LOL the person who left the TB drew my eyes right to the cache, the TB was hung on the tree like a Christmas ornament. I"m surprised no one saw it and grabbed it. I took it with me to move it along. The cache container made me smile on an otherwise rough day, and everything is in good shape here. Thanks for the smiley! Find #2111.
