Carpenter Park, with its wide open expanses and relatively few trees outside of waterways may be similar to the open, rolling fields of the land of Rohan, immediately north of the land of Gondor and south of the great Fangorn Forest. The land was a gift to the Rohirrim from Gondor after they came to Gondor's aid during a crucial battle, helping them secure victory. This gift displaced the men already living there, which caused them to disdain the Rohirrim. One group, the Dunlanders, frequently harrassed the land of Rohan, even allying for a time with Sarumon in his invasion of Rohan.

The Fez Bandits found this one at an elevation of 5,160 feet above sea level on a partly cloudy, 57°F morning. After the search, we walked over to the playground and my daughter enjoyed playing there for a while. TFTC!

I loved the Tolkien series and couldn't resist this cache. Well placed. We ran into a family friend in the park parking lot before heading out. Small world.
Today I'm on the prowl with OUT14ND3R, looking for trouble in the form of camouflaged containers. We started with a little cache maintenance and then headed north to find a bunch of great caches. I avenged a long standing DNF and we finished the night with an Adventure Lab.

Went on a caching adventure with excellent buddies, mooseyaround and #1 Beefers, today. This was our first cache of the day. We got to talk to a City worker on our way to the cache. Nice cache and hide. Thanks for the placement, beanmw!
