Head up Cottonwood Pass and you'll come to the Denny Creek Trailhead.  This area is very popular with outdoor enthusiasts as it offers year-round fun and terrific trails. In the summer enjoy a hike or if snow is on the ground try snowshoeing or cross country skiing.  Continue west on CR 306 to the summit of Cottonwood Pass and the Continental Divide.  The panoramic views are spectacular.

I believe this cache may be gone. Gave it a search on our way up the pass and then again on a second stop coming down. Found a couple of likely hiding spots, but the only thing which resembled a cache was a Powerade bottle of questionable substance. A light dusting of snow overnight, but that was not enough to cover up a cache of this size.

Greetings from Haines City, Florida! I’m out here in Colorado visiting my husband’s brother and his wife. I’m in a car full of muggles so I was apprehensive about asking to stop. He stopped for me...thankfully! I had my eye on some FTF’s up the road but quickly found out that Cottonwood pass is shut down. Bummer. But I’m glad I found this one.Thanks for placing!

Like HelloRose and BlestMomof6, we also had an unexpected long weekend due to a teacher walk-out. We've been seeing their logs on lots of other tour caches, but I guess not this one. I’ve really been wanting to do this tour before it ends! I didn’t find out about it til last fall; otherwise we might have done it last summer. Unlike Rose and BlestMom, we did NOT drive thru the night, and only had to come from Boulder, not out of state! We came up yesterday evening (Thurs) and stayed at the Best Western! Nice area and creek here, but where's the Denny's?! Ha ha! TFTC!
