The main entrance to Barr Lake State Park is from Picadilly Road.  The park hours are 5 a.m.-10 p.m. A daily pass ($7) or annual pass is required for entry to the park.  Permission for the cache placement was granted by Michelle Seubert, Parks Manager.

The geocache is located near the Prairie Welcome Trail and Picnic Area.  Please be aware of picnic muggles.

Please return the cache to the same hiding spot and and cover with the bark pieces.

Headed a little north today with both dogs to do some caching. Started out a little chilly but then warmed up to be a perfect April day. Fred and Kara had a great time at Barr Lake today. And we had a great time finding some amazing caches. This was definitely a fun one !

We did escape the rat race. Good one. Live Wire 77 and I out on a Barr Lake State Park cache run. Beautiful day, a nice walk in mostly cloudy conditions. We enjoyed very much. Our thanks to Barr Lake State Park for supporting geocaching. Thank you for placing this cache so we could enjoy the game. sl

After the visitor center, we got back to the truck to get the rest of the caches. Our walk out to the other two along the lake and back was about three and a quarter miles, so driving to the others made a lot of sense to us. Just a short little walk and DaWife had the little critter in hand. TFTC.
