What exactly is a Hoosier you ask? To be truthful, no one really knows! The state adopted it's nickname of "The Hoosier State" nearly a century and a half ago, after John Finley wrote the poem entitled "The Hoosier's Nest". It contained 6 "Hoosier" references.

What I can tell you is that I'm proud of my Hoosier heritage and midwestern values! The plan is that this is the first of many "Hoosier" referenced caches in the area!

We searched up and down the rocks but could not find anything today. Has not been found in over a year. Could CO verify it is still there?

Find #2626

Found it 01/23/2017 By GanderGoose
With decent weather, I felt a great need to go out for some caching. The map revealed a few along the South Platte River Trail that I had not previously found so that looked like a good destination. This was the last one going in this direction before I headed back to the 88th Avenue trailhead under threatening clouds. The container certainly is a bright color. It was a bit scary negotiating the climb for this old lady. Thanks for adopting this cache, bowlmech!

Went out and put some new Teflon tape on the container. Noticed that the container will need to be replaced soon as it is wearing out and parts of it are broke. Still watertight and ready to find!

Got out to get this one early, before it got too hot - had a nice walk between the stream and the puddles - this was the last stop on a park-once-find-five excursion. TN-LN-SL. Thanks !

Could use some new teflon tape, but found it! Little hard to climb with cycling shoes on, but hey got the job done!
