The Cache is located on a bluff overlooking the Gunnison River off of the Gunnison River Bluff Trail / Old Spanish Trail North Branch, about 3.7 miles round trip. The location of the cache may be unsafe for unattended children since it is located near an overlook of the Gunnison River.

The parking lot for the trail is located on the south side of Hwy 50 at the intersection of 28 1/2 Road and B Road on Orchard Mesa (just South of Grand Junction on US Hwy. 50).    Follow the trail signs for 0.42 miles to the actual trail entrance.  You will be walking through a residential area.  There is no parking at the trail entrance.  

Continue on the trail until you reach the top of the bluff; turn right and follow the road toward the radio tower.  About 50 yards before the tower, turn left on the old road track and continue straight.  Stay right on the older track at the “Y”.   You will come to a single track trail that parallels the river; turn right and follow the trail to the Cache.  The location of the cache may be unsafe for unattended children since it is located near an overlook of the Gunnison River.

Nice long hike up hill almost all the way, or it sure seemed like it. What a view when we got there. Thanks for putting this one out there. Took my Junior Partner out for his 4th find, he enjoyed it.
