This was once a cache that was muggled WAY too many times and had to be archived. Now it's back in a better location.
During the 80's oil boom this building was built to serve as the public Safety building that housed the fire station a sheriff's office. The sheriffs left the build and the fire guys took it over. For many years it Was a volunteer fire department. In 1996 they hired their first full-time employee, the fire chief. By 2006 there were at least two guys wroking 24 hrs a day/ 365 days a year. By 2009 there were four guys working the same shift. The Quaters were crampted and trucks barely fit in the bays. Thats when We moved into the New facility just down the hill. Now The building has gone back to the County and houses some of the Road and bridge equipement and the Sheriff's substation.
