Located in Redlands area of Grand Junction along a locally popular dirt trail used by mountain bikes, hikers and runners.
Named Hawkeye not for the Iowa kind but for the redtailed variety and other predators that stop by now and then to catch some of the little critters Care has been taken so that rocks can be used to cross potentially sensitive soils so please TREAD LIGHTLY. Access to this trail is available in several spots and the closest is from Mirada Court (N.39.03.810, W.108.38.561) .35 Mile to cache. Parking is available. Excellent views of Colorado National Monument, Riggs Hill and surrounding countryside.
