Welcome to Pike National Forest surrounding the 11 Mile area. This cache is located in a scenic meadow among inviting rock ridges waiting for new hikers. Pack a picnic lunch and enjoy the area. 11 Mile State Park (entry fee) is within walking distance with trails, boating, fishing and other outdoor fun stuff.

Park at the end of Sturgeon and hike in from there.

I found the road a bit 'challenging' for my low-slung VW. Made it past the Forest Service Boundary sign. Long past lunchtime, but we each had a granola bar and some water. I had to back the VW down the road a bit and turn around in a driveway then it was time to leave, and that was a bit tricky. Nice walk, saw no one else. Cache was in great shape. SL, TFTC!

It's been a couple years since I've been to 11-Mile, so I grabbed LJGApeach78 for a little hiking and geocaching today. Drove from the Springs in the Jeep...top and doors off...and kinda paid for it a little. Sun, rain, hail...we hiked and drove through it all. Good times! TFTC! --Deadmoney
