Located on a very high ridge on Monarch mountain. Ski or snowboard in the winter or a nice long hike in the summer. Lift access is Breeze Way. You will need to hike into the Mirkwood Basin form there. This area is all double black diamond. Please take a friend and know your limits before attempting. You are searching for an ammo can tucked under a large rock.

Hiked up to this cache with RockDok from the Continental Divide Trail -- a bit of a climb! Perfect day -- sunshine, no rain, and not too much wind. The coordinates got us really close, and the cache was pretty easy to find. This is the only Chefstern cache out here that doesn't require a LADDER in the summer!!! TFTC

Made the hike up on a cloudless day for some great views! Found the can, but couldn't dislodge enough of the hider rocks to get it out of its cubbie hole, so couldn't sign the log. Skied down Orcs and on out the trail. Cheers!

The wind had blown the area around the cache completely dry, making for an easy find. What a view from up there! Mt. Shavano and Tabeguache were sparkling in the sun. Great spot, thanks!
