En route to this cache we met the hunters again. The guy told us that he had even climbed to the top to have a better look around, but no deer in the area. Maybe some other day for them. We found the container quickly here. However, the lid was so tight that we broke the wire-tie. But we happened to have another one with us and repaired it. We enjoyed this location here the most. We are definitely coming back some other day to fish or cool off in the water. There were small ice sheets and crystals floating down the river. We should have had a picnic here. Next time. Tftc. Deserves a favorite point.

I'm glad there is a cache here. It's such a neat spot. The same prayer flags near GZ are on a ranch entrance way up the road. A snake shot across in front of us as we came down the wash.

I decided to give it a try since it was a nice day for a hike, it's an easy trail for the most part and I found the cache without getting any cactus in me. A very cool place, I didn't know there was any way into the gorge that didn't involve climbing. Signed the log, soaked my feet for a minute or two and then started back. Neat geology in the rocks here as well, little "floaters" of gneiss embedded in the granite on the trail and in other places dikes of feldspar in the gneiss.

Found while out on another awesome caching run with K9jayhawk and OscarMikeUSMC, on the first very warm Saturday of the year. We ran into Room1009 and Bandit searching for ther hide while removing cactus spines from their legs and arms. They were about to give up when I pointed that they were 2 feet from it. The sun light reflected off the black barrel at the angle I looked at it from where I was standing. Thanks for placing this cache for us to find today! SL, TFTC!
