So sometimes when you don't have a definite clue on how to solve a puzzle (and we are big fans of zulu113's puzzles) you just have to wing it. So we did this morning since the weather was incredible and we needed a sort-of hike. But by winging it, we mean we ran around like chickens with our heads cut off since we did not have valid coordinates. It paid off though, as gampa has eagle-eyes and soon we had the container in hand. Thirteen months lonely and the log sheet is still in incredible condition. Hopefully someday we will be able to figure out how our GZ coordinates satisfy the checker on this unique puzzle. Thanks zulu113!

Found this one with Rick, He described the events of the day pretty well. Fun little hike after a long day. It always seems to make the rest of the day go so nicely. Top it off with hiking with a friend and well then it is even better. We searched for a while and even had a picture showing us where it was. We finally found the correct rock and search for a while. It is funny that as soon as you reach out to a CO for help you find it within seconds. I found it interesting that the log really did not look like it hasn't seen light for so long. It was in great shape! Thanks, Rick for the puzzle solution and dragging me along and thanks Zulu for another great hide!
Q: What’s the difference between a hungry pirate and a drunken pirate?
A: One has a rumbling tummy, and the other’s a tumbling rummy.

Thanks for the fun puzzle cache! I've looked at this off and on for a year or two and had tons of notes. I had one particularly good lead and finally broke down and reached out to the CO. I was right... But wrong... A quick fix and seconds later I had the coords! Took a bit to get out here. Today after work I met up with Qaz for a little Friday hike. We climbed up and nabbed a cache that I had already found and Qaz added his stamp. Then off to this one. It took us awhile to find the right spot and when we did we set about finding the cache. After looking in every nook and cranny we could find I reached out again to the CO for an additional hint... Just as I hit send Qaz yelled out "Found it!" Well there ya go... the magic "reach out and cache magically appears" situation! As always! ha ha ha! Pulled out my pen to sign and it's dead! NOOOOOO!!!!! I sent a picture to Zulu113 since I was chatting with him anyways... He said no credit... Hmmmm... Lets see if he deletes this!? ha ha ha! Nearly 4 years lonely but still here! Great fun from beginning to end! Thanks a lot for this one! Adding to my favorites list!

I always love Zulu puzzles, fun and different and this one was no exception. It's been in the solved que for a while but one thing or another kept me away, weather, sprained ankle, or generally not thinking about it. Since Muggle Mimi told me to play a little as a cacher I decided this one was on the list. Getting here was always the pain, where to park. Having found that location I began the hike in to the cache; remaining myself as I went that I need to do more of this work to get in better shape. Yes, even Pohkas worry about weight and conditioning a little; part of the reason for the bike ride later (after action report, Muggle Mimi and I did a nice ride from our place to Tiffiny Square, about 14 miles round trip and yes we need to do more). Anyway, after huffing and puffing up the hill (Zulu, no escalator?) I started looking at GZ, I was really hoping for a BBQ grill with a stock of aliens (I did bring my own Stubbs BBQ Sauce) but was a little disappointed. Dud, Alien-tartar? That's a little harsh on them? I mean a nice little grill here would be great!! Even if you did expect us to bring our own alien. Anyway, a nice puzzle with a great location. Next time you're going to grill an Alien invite me and I'll bring the sauce!!! TFTC.

"North America is under attack by a wide range of invasive aliens. Black spiny-tailed Aliens in Florida, Alien carp in Missouri and Virginia, nutrialien in Louisiana, European green Aliens in Connecticut, and other Alien species throughout the United States are devouring our native plants, animals and humans, pushing many to the brink of extinction. zulu113 has a unique solution to the problem: Eat them!
This adventure narrative describes zulu113's quest to hunt twelve invasive Alien species and turn them into delicious meals, showing how anyone can feed a family while enjoying the thrill of the hunt and helping to protect and conserve the natural environment."
Awesome area for a cache, many Deer and other interesting sights. We also found a great marker for a dog named, Daisy. See pic to explain beginning of log ;)
