Cache has 3 consecutive DNF's and has not been found in over 2 years. Owner may want to disable until the cache can be checked on. In the summer it's quite a hike to look for a cache that may or may not be there. Thank you for the cache.

We looked and looked in the likely place it should be - but alas no luck. We looked in the cave, too. Cool place, didn't find the cache. Oh well, must be under the snow and ice.

I had a great time hiking and caching the Mary Jane area today, finding 8 of the 10 caches I targeted. I left my home in Loveland on a nice morning in the upper 50s. But I got a rude surprise as I crossed Berthoud Pass, my dashboard showed it was 39°, and there was a dusting of fresh snow above timberline! I parked at the lot next to the Freeriders lift and it had warmed up all the way to 43! I threw on an extra long sleeve T and headed up the mountain. I had a route planned out that minimized elevation loss as best I could. My route was Manchego, Granita, Spumoni, Zabaglione, Knox, Mary Jane Cache, Ricciarelli, Camembert, Mary Jane Micro, and finally Provolone. The two I could not find were the first stage of Spumoni and Provolone. For this one I climbed up using the available wire rope and looked into the hole. Could not find the peanut butter jar. Searched other areas too but no luck.

Maybe there is too much snow. I've been to this spot many times and I will look again.

This cache was difficult to get to especially in ski boots. We were able to get to the cache using the provided rope but were unable to get the cache out of its location to sign the log because it was frozen in a sheet of ice. (We have a picture of the cache if the co wants to see some proof that we found it.) Very cool location for a cache. TFTC

This was pretty fun, but a little dicey in ski boots. I like it a lot.

A great cache location made a bit challenging by the snow covered rocks. The special tool was useful! TFTH!!
When the CO said there were cliffs in the area....

The ski areas hope those clouds have snow!

estes01 got to this cache wearing ski boots?! A tough lady. I hiked over from Zabaglione and scoped things out and found a straight forward way to the cache site. But I was not dealing with icy rock, and I didn't need to cling around while I dropped the cache down to Wings&Tales and then catch it! I had it easy. It was still a challenging cache. That made two highly memorable ones in a row. Thanks, chefstern, for making my day so fulfilling! Yes, fulfilling. You filled it up with good ones...

Hiked to three of the caches today with a friend from Nebraska. We are spending the night in Blackhawkand then going to Copper Mountain tomorrow to get a couple more we needed for our double fizzy. These were quite the adventures. This one was a lot of fun. We used the nearby "Tool" TFTC!
