This cache requires a little hike. It is NOT recommended for children that are too young as there is a very long drop nearby the cache. It has a unique view of Rifle, HWY13 and the bowling alley. There is a Guard Duck at the cache please leave him there to keep an eye on things. The cache has some small trade items, the guard duck and a log, BYOP.
To get to this cache take HWY13 north towards Meeker. Turn off on the left on the JQS Trail (high clearence or 4X4), drive half a mile up the trail and you will come to a forest service sign and a good place to park. Head over the rise to the south then keep following the trails to the left. The trail will go between two hills and up over another rise. There are some very cool Juniper trees and rock formations along the way. Stay on the trail and head on up. Mostly gentle rises in the trail with a short steep spot towards the cache. No need to go too close to the edge to find the cache. However the cache is easier to see if you've been enjoying the view. There is private property nearby, (base of the cliff area towards the highway) please respect it. There also may be dirt bikers or mountian bikers in the area, so keep an eye out for them.  You also may see deer, wild turkeys and rabbits. There may be sheep grazing, depending on time of year, leave the sheep alone as they have sheep dogs to guard the flock. Trust me, the dogs take their job seriuosly.  Enjoy the hike and the view!!! Have fun!!!

Thanks for the cache, the container needs a new gasket.

This one took me quite a while!!!!!. Coords immediately took me to a tree and I searched that for awhile. Then had to expand out. I searched ad searched and was just about ready to give up when a different angle of a looksee showed a bit of the container. I was about 26'away from the original cords. It was well hidden, but it's there.

Got to the GZ the hard way since this was my first time out there. Never found the cache, but I did find a gas cap hidden in the brush. Really hot, so I left and headed up into the mountains.

Decoyent007 here...out learning how to ride most latest innovative? ATV machine. OHHHHH, good grammatical sentence!!! After rescuing my Mom with her maniacal riding skills 3cacheteers tells us there is a cache near-by. WHY am I not surprised??? Cache and 3cacheteers go together like........yea, OK, they go together very well. Heading to cache 3cacheteers nearly kills me!! Does she forget this is the first time for me on this machine? Will nothing stop her? Apparently not. Fortunatly, my Mom puts her foot down at the last part so we walk up the last bit sandI get to live a bit longer. On the way out we meet a jeep almost tipped over on one of those weird parts of the trail/road. i know how he feels!!
