I managed to make the find on this one today via a hike from Williams Canyon. This was by far the toughest find of the day. I spent a good fifteen minutes combing the area but could not find the regular sized container. At this point I decided to ground my gear to better continue the hunt. I saw what looked like a scalable portion of the rock wall that would allow me to continue to GC2N05Y red rocks. As I started to ground my gear…bingo; there it was. Sometimes it is better to be lucky than good, the actual container was about 30’ from where my GPS said GZ was. Despite this, finding the cache was not the hardest part of my experience here. When heading back this way, I decided to climb down at the same spot I climbed up. While climbing down, I got my leg stuck in the crack I was using…because I am good at getting myself into sticky situations and apparently need more practice getting myself out of them. I was stuck for a good minute or two with my leg twisted at an awkward angle; but fortunately got myself out. Thanks to the CO for placing this nice cache here for everyone to find, TFTC.

Stopped in today on a hike through. The cache is in great shape and I left a new ziploc and log sheet. Access is now legally available via Williams Canyon - take a left at The Jordan Tree and follow the trail.

The cache is still in great shape -- after not having been found in over five years
!!
As long as the a$$ -pouring rain was mostly over, and just the spectacular, reverberating peals of thunder were left, I went ahead and detoured up out of Williams to grab this. My wife and I had only ever hiked the WCT once... but it was a couple years before the fire and I had not yet ever laid eyes on a geocache! This one was well- placed for fire avoidance; but oddly no log sheet or pad inside. It was sitting on top of a shredded zip-loc bag... so who knows ??!! I signed the cache info sheet on the lid of the can, but if anyone comes by with any kind of paper (& no pouring rain), that'll make a fine repl. log.
A real bonus is "they" have planted a new or recovery forest service section ( bench)mark right downhill from here... and I have a trackable for that !!!
