CONGRATULATIONS TO TEAM LAXSON FOR FTF!
As you make your way to the summit of Burnt Mountain (elevation 9,353 feet), get prepared for a surprise! At the top of this Boulder County Ranked Peak you’ll discover a miniature version of the famous Stonehenge rock architecture. And these structures are complemented by rock walls, and rock benches, and rock pillars that go on and on. I wonder who played with all of these rocks! Their positioning took some concerted effort, and some serious time...
After you’ve finished your tour of this construction marvel, move to GZ and hunt for the mountain treasure that you made this hike in order to locate. You’re searching for a painted cylindrical jar. After you’ve signed its log, carefully rehide the cache. This location is clearly a domain visited from time-to-time by the muggles who come here to labor on the Stonehenge tract!
Oh, and while you are enjoying Colorado’s Stonehenge, look at the more distant vistas. The views of the high mountains of Indian Peaks Wilderness from this vantage are awesome!
