This was the first cache placed on South Table Mountain in March of 2004! I hiked the trail today (over 9 years since placing, age 60 with no cartilidge remaining in my left knee), and made it in about 35 minutes. If you prefer logging lotsa smileys over a good walk, take your mountain bike to GC3W62Q and start there, as many caches have been added up here since 2004!

Thought I knew what I was looking for based on previous logs. Found an interesting little cave formation at GZ but found no loose rocks larger than a golf ball. Expanded search and still came up empty. I’ll be back in May for a Mines graduation and hope to find this then.

No luck for me here.
Looked for some time for WP1, but could not find anything.
Have to come back some time.
This is a great spot and a good hike to the top.

Sissadies and I were in the area to attend a fellow Beaver's Woodbadge Beading. We came early to avoid traffic, and geocache of course.

Our first time hiking here. Found WP1 quickly, still no container but was in decent shape.

Took some pics and were off to the final. Took some looking, and we almost gave up.

Then I finally spotted it YAY! About 21 feet from where we zeroed, so not too bad. Thanks for keeping active, gets a fave.

Greetings from Maryland! I spent my last morning in Golden roaming around South Table Mountain. My goal for the morning was to climb to the top of the "Table", but I took the long way up the south side, and found several other caches first. I found stage 1 quickly as described in the log from 11/23/2017. No container, but seemingly still secure under the rock, and in good condition thanks to the lamination. Before seeking the final, I climbed the rest of the way to the top, and took in the views. All I can say is "wow". Great view of the Front Range mountains to the west, and the plains and the Denver skyline to the east. No one else up here at this early hour. After several minutes, I went to look for the final. Was a little worried at first, as the vegetation at the location didn't seem well-suited to a regular sized hide. Eventually, though, I made it down to the correct elevation, and there it was. A well-done hide in every way. The contents are in great shape.

The final challenge was finding my way down the mountain. After a few fits and starts, I found the correct trail and followed the switchbacks to the bottom. I saw one jogger along the way, but no one else. Great, classic multi - definitely worthy of a favorite point. TNLNSL. TFTC! Find #3752 at 9:06am MST.

TFTC! SL.

This was a great cache and a cool walk. Thanks for bringing us here. We have been to South Table Mountain before, but never up to this part.

A few important notes: I don't know if stage one ever had a container, but we found the coords simply lying on the ground. I thought it was a piece of trash at first (like a candy bar wrapper), but when I picked it up, I saw the coords.

In anycase: if stage one is supposed to have a container, it now needs replacing. We put the coordinates under a rock, so they hopefully stay there for the next cacher, but it seems tentative at best.

The coords found at stage one led us straight to the final. It was hard to get opened, but we did and signed the log.

Again, thanks so much for this cache, it was a great mini-adventure! Fav point!

My son and I are off all week for Thanksgiving break. I remembered seeing this cache when I was up here in June for an event so we came up here today to make the trek and explore these trails. Very windy but we enjoyed the hike. Couldn't find a clue at the first waypoint but read enough text to learn where to go. Sl, thanks!

Awesome spot, tough find as we searched all over for the clue in phase 1, but no luck. So I used my geo senses to find phase 2 based on the additional clue and taadaa there it was! Great views at the top! T4TC
