Stuart Roosa was an astronaut born in Durango in 1933. He was the command module pilot on the Apollo 14 moon mission in 1971 and remained in lunar orbit while astronauts Alan Shepard and Edgar Mitchell explored the moon. While Shepard and Mitchell spent two days on the lunar surface, Roosa conducted experiments from orbit in the command module "Kitty Hawk". He was one of only 24 people to travel to the Moon. Roosa died in 1994. Wikipedia entry on Stuart Roosa

Dang, this was a really tough find! It took me a few minutes to understand the clue, but once I did, I was able to find it. The log is soaked, so I’ll try to replace it because I live nearby. Thank you!

Found quickly during a nice lunchtime run, because the cache was laying on the ground. The parts were all there, so I replaced it in the obvious place. We own a cache like this in the Denver area. SL. TFTC!
