This cache is hidden a ways off segment 2 of the Colorado Trail and about 2 miles from the parking/trailhead waypoint. This is another in a series of caches that are all along trails in open space areas west and southwest of Denver.

I have been out this way via mountain bike a number of times and in fact have another cache hidden farther west on the trail. There are some great views out here even though it is obvious that there was a large fire in the area. It was in 1996 and was called the Buffalo Creek Fire.

The cache is about 1/3 mile off trail at the "end of the world". You can leave the main trail somewhere around the waypoint I provided. The hike from there to the cache is modest - nothing all that steep but there are some ups and downs.

Unlike some of the other caches in this series, there are no clues to retrieve or puzzles to solve to find this or any other cache

Kudos to anyone who finds Trail Mix 21 and this cache on the same day. I hid them both on the same day and used a bicycle to do that. Even more kudos to anyone who finds the Raleigh Peak cache on the same day as TM 21 and 22. You might be able to find and log this benchmark while on the way to the cache.

Went for a drive south-west of the Denver metro area with "animjason" - this was the third of fifteen geocaches that I found along the way. TN-LN-SL, Thanks !

When I saw how far off the trail this one was I so hoped I would be able to ride the terrain at least a reasonable distance. As it turned out I was able to stay on top the whole way! It was a great diversion from the regular trail although my horse would disagree. He is an expert at taking 1/2 steps & running me into every branch, tree & bush he can when he's being ultra lazy like today. But a fav point since I made him go anyway & I didn't have to walk or climb.

My main goal today was to grab the last Trail Mix cache 9:28:00 AM% Thanks! Had a nice time on the Colorado Trail and on my second walk down by the river. Didn't see anybody at all on the trail today.
