Hard Luck Tree by Edgar Albert Guest

Ain't no use, as I can see
In sittin' underneath a tree
An' growlin that your luck is bad,
And that your life is extry sad;
Your life ain't sadder than your neighbor's
Nor any harder are your labors;
It rains on him the same as you . . .

Ain't no use in sittin' underneath a tree, unless you can find something that will make you extry glad . . .

Located on the slopes of Eagle Mountain, this hike offers spectacular views of Pikes Peak and of Englemann's Canyon and the Cog railway below. The cache is a short distance southeast of the Turntable Trail between 66rand Canyon of Ruxton Creek GC24WHH and Eaglet GC24KH3.

***Congrats to akabumper for the FTF on 03/16/10***

After grabbing the new one below I made my way up to this one.

First time for me me up on this side and probably not the last.

Woof. Found with black niacin. Had a fun time riding down 400ft on my bare bum on all these loose rocks.

I had a recent scare on a scree slope so this one made me very nervous. Found the cache easy though and all in good shape. Tftc!

The trail ends here. Heading farther up, dang, that bit across the scree was scary. TFTC!
