Junipers are coniferous in the genus Juniperus. There are between 50 and 67 species of juniper.

Located just off the JQS trail this cache has nice views and has several others within hiking distance. This is a small, log only. While there are lots of fairly secluded spots up here this is not one of them, thus the micro.....others with swag are nearby. The JQS can be tricky, especially when wet, not recommended during bad weather, you will need a high clearance vehicle to drive it. There is a short loop along a ridge off the main JQS that can be driven to within feet of this one. Should be a fairly easy find....dirt bikers, campers, mountian bikers may be in the area, keep an eye out. Enjoy the area!
