This is our first geocache to place.

In honor of our yellow lab Toby placed on his 11th birthday.  Born on 3/6/04, these 4 numbers will have significance once you find the cache.  We spent several years throwing & catching frisbees near this location. He passed in February of 2016, but some travel bugs in his honor were released from here. Maybe you will come across one some day.

The cache is in the greenbelt, please stay off the residential property.

A flashlight would be helpful at night.

Fun find. I discovered a TB inside.
Today was a fun solo day of geocaching. I took a walk around Valente Pond and saw robins, red winged black birds, magpies, a tiny bird chasing a crow, and a male white pelican. In the end I was treated to a beautiful, but windy sunset.

Wasn't planning on being in Denver overnight, but the snowstorm that hit the Midwest (where I was headed) has forced the cancellation of many flights - mine included. Luckily I have family in Denver and can overnight with them.

I have a 13 days slump in my stats and wanted to make sure I kept it that way so needed to find a hidden treasure today. I was a little clumsy in getting it open, but I finally had the correct way to open it. Like the story behind the cache - love dogs!!!

Well, Happy Birthday Toby! I had a Toby, too, only mine was a cat. And I thought he was a girl for 14 years. (All the paperwork that came with him said he was a she, and honestly... do you know how to tell the difference with a cat???) Anyhoo, he was a wonderful love bug and was my faithful companion for 18 out of his 19 years. I still miss him all these years later. Thank you for the cache and the wonderful memories. Find #3226.

Thanks, sjamman! You made me read the description. This one gets a favorite point from me. My daughter and her sons are on vacation, so I get to take care of her dog, making a visit in the early morning, noon, and evening in far north Arvada. I had some time this morning to visit Thornton between visit. This is a part of the pocket query of the caches I have not found yet close to home.
