This is a fun mystry puzzle involving coordinate plotting and traingulation techniques. This cache sequence may even earn you another mark or two on geocaching.com on the benchmarks tab!

In order to find the Douglass Mystery cache one may use  USGS topo maps (Wellington quad) 1:24000 scale with appropriate grid tools or  use TOPO software or one of various geocaching tool apps on your smartphone. In order to find this cache you must find and locate two benchmarks that are  listed below of this cache page write up and take some accurate waypoints measurements.. As a side note: benchmarks are often "scaled" and  not adjusted which could mean they could be 1-2 meters or up 200-300 ,meters  off their marks, so accuracy is a must!

These Benchmarks will be located along County Rd 15 and bound to the North by County Rd 64 and to the South by E County Rd 60

BM: LL0428: to cache location is: 1956.57 meters.

BM: LL0426: From cache location to this Bench mark bearing is: 559.43 mils

Where this circle plot and bearing projection meet on the map you will find the Douglass Mystery Cache!
To be able to locate these Benchmarks go to Geocaching.com's main page; find resources area in the bottom right hand side and click on Find a Benchmark and type in the PID numbers above.

I was un the area recently and decided to check on this cache looks like a mower went through the area and took out the cache, replaced it and moved it about 4 feet north distance change shouldn't effect calculations enough to warrant a cache page change. Cache on!

Set out today to find five different cache types to qualify for the new Geocaching souvenir. Worked the solution for this cache and was able to get within 14 feet of the container. Still having problems with the sister cache, but I will get it some day. Thanks for the challenge of this cache. I'm still amazed that I got that close and did not have to do an extensive hunt. Thanks tinytuttle for the great cache! SL
