If you choose to follow the ridge line while getting the other cache's I left you something.
A small Christmas tin the size of a deacon container is best seen from above but you must be brave enough to go down to it.

I did the ridge years ago so this was the only cache I needed up here today. I did the hike up Big Chief in the morning and decided I still had enough energy to tackle this one before going home. At my car I was a half mile from the cache but my GPS said I did 1.7 miles to get there. Trails? Who needs trails? The only ones I saw were never going in the right direction. It took me a while to find the cache but the coords were reasonable and a little persistence did the trick. I picked up the geocoins since they have been here for almost a year. TFTC

After grabbing an FTF across the valley north of here, I headed up to this one.

Back in 08 I followed the ridge and no need to do that today, so I planned to hit the saddle just west of the cache.

Thanks for a fun hike and a very good hide to find!

Container and log are in great shape and I added a couple of Geocoins to the container.

Found with Javachip after we decided to attempt from San Luis rather than directly from Mt. Vigil. TFTC!

Hah! When I got to here I circled once kinda eyeing the pointer... when I got back to where I started I went straight up at it & that was the way to get the angle.
Afterwards... time to sit and enjoy a samwich' Smile

Ed. - OK I just looked at Estes and Ernie's photos.
I quit.

I really thought this one was going to be a lot harder than it ended up being. We came in from the west, saw something likely. It turned out to be a really easy find. Thanks. Vort.
