Pequot

An Algonquian tribe of Connecticut, their name means “destroyers,” and before European settlers arrived, they had earned the title, as they were the most dreaded of the southern New England tribes. However, this same ferocity almost to their annihilation when their enemies joined with the English to defeat them during the Pequot War. By 1910, they numbered only 66 people. However, today there are two small independent Pequot tribal nations in Connecticut – the Mashantucket Pequot and the Eastern Pequot Tribal Nation.

Today Sujayne and I started off to Terryall to find the oldest in Colorado. From there we went to Pikes Peak and finshed the day caching north of Denver.
Many thanks for all the fun! BigSmile

We, too, looked around and did not see this one. I'd like to believe we wouldn't miss a regular size cache! Peace love pi battled the fallen tree and the barbed wire a bit more than I did, but to no avail. We put out a smaller replacement container outside the corner fence post.

Put some miles on while caching today! I started out in Parker for the event, some lab caches, and working on my 360 degrees of Colorado challenge. Peace love pi was going to join me, but felt a little under the weather. I wound up meeting her a little north of here to visit a cache on its birthday, and we wound up in Brighton. We didn't have a lot of time, so we picked this power trail nearby. I didn't realize it, but we hit about 26 caches in an hour and a half. We replaced logs and containers as needed. Sorry for the cut and paste logs mondou2, but I didn't take good notes. Thanks for the smiley! Find #3348.
