THIS is Colorado!  Cache series is dedicated to bringing people to unique and interesting places in this beautiful state of ours.

This cache is hidden in a location with a pretty good view of the Arkansas Valley as you come down the county road from Sugar City. Imagine this valley full of water as it used to be long long ago. Although a fraction of its original size, the Arkansas River is the lifeline of this valley. It flows from the Rocky Mountains to the West through Canon City, Pueblo and all the way across the midwest into the Mississippi river. Without this river the valley would look much like the prairie to the north of the cache location, barren, arid grassland. Take a moment to imagine yourself in the 1800's coming over the prairie hill and seeing this fertile lush valley after a long journey in a covered wagon.

I've been wanting to place a cache in this location for a while now, so I hope you enjoy finding it as much as I did hiding it. Please replace it AS you FOUND it, as people occassionally fish around here in the summer time. Cache is a small container roughly 3x4x2", and is well hidden from view. Requires a little flat-land spillunking. Retrieval tool nearby. Please replace exactly as you found .

I bet this guy is here, but the ground was a bit muddy and I wasn't prepared for the mud! DNF

I pulled up on this one thinking it would be a guardrail cache. I read the hands and figured it was going to be more difficult. I looked on both sides have my shoes I'm figured it was going to be a potential swim. Thankfully the ground is a lot harder than it looks and I was able to scale down and up without incident. I looked around for a while before I finally got the right perspective and I'm glad I am over 6 foot tall. Thanks for maintaining this one and for the Geo fun

Found on a warm late winter day. It's almost been a year since this was found but cache is warm, dry and in great spirits! Thanks for the fun hide! SLTFTC!

Spring maintenance in SE CO. Replaced cache with an appropriate water-tight container. Replaced the soggy log and hid a little higher than normal in case water levels rise this spring. Cache is good to go and a great little cache to find. Enjoy!

One of many fun caches I found today. I also met some new Geocaching friends in Olney Springs today, k9jayhawk and Of-erad. I found some of the caches I found today with them. They also helped testing a new series of Geocaches I placed today (Thanks Guys). Thanks for the fun day.
