Sigh, winter.  Usually not the easiest time to geocache in Colorado.  Let’s all admit it... we’ve been hind end out of snow banks, we’ve post-holed our way to and/or from GZ, done some icy slip and slides, and even dug with bare hands for Tupperware (often in vain!).  All for a hard earned winter smiley.  I’ve decided I’m not made for winter.

So I’m putting out a few winter friendly(ish) hides.  Of course, anything on the ground is out.  Who wants to search for a cache that’s entombed in snow and ice?  And LPCs?  Well, they could be under several feet of nasty, dirty parking lot snow.  So… let’s see how these do in winter.  And for those single digit degree days, I even tried to keep it close-ish to the car.  So get that log signed and hop back to your heated seat!

Joined up this morning with GanderGoose to attend the Leap Day with the 77's event and a cache run in the vicinity. As we were approaching GZ we were wondering why a lady was on her phone very nearby. We skirted around and made the find. Then she came up and asked if we were Geocachers. Had a pleasant conversation with a cacher we didn't know, atennisbabe. Always fun to cross paths with other cachers. Like your fun container and placement lasouthpaw. TFTC

After attending a great 77s Leap Day event, mooseyaround and I went on a caching adventure. As MA and I were approaching GZ, we saw a person standing close by. Surprisingly, it was another cacher, atennisbabe. Gets a favorite point for all that you contribute to geocaching. Thanks for the placement, lasouthpaw!

I was excited to see that a new cache had published right next to the parking lot for my current jobsite. I waited until today to make the find before work starts. I love the theme, it’s a lot of fun!
