Love, Cupid, hearts, chocolates, cards and flowers are everywhere--it's Valentine's Day! On February 14, Americans celebrate love and friendship.
The origins of Valentine's Day are murky. We do know that the ancient Romans celebrated the feast of Lupercalia, a spring festival, on the 15th of February. Pope Gelasius I recast this pagan festival as a Christian feast day circa 496, declaring February 14 to be St Valentine's Day--the saint day that celebrated several early Christian martyrs named Valentine. But somewhere along the way, Valentine's Day came to represent romance.
Join us at Starbucks, 7358 Federal, Westminster, CO, from 8:30AM to 9:30AM, Thursday, Feb 14th, for coffee, laughter, and geocaching camaraderie. Small TBs for discovery or moving on are always welcome. Starbucks sells food and beverages for your consumption, but purchase is not required to attend. Come on out, we'd love to see new cachers and seasoned cachers. All are welcome.
