As 2018 ends, many of us have our rituals of cleaning out the old to allow for the new. One of those rituals for me is tying up loose ends and finishing lingering projects. Old geocaching logs are on that list – as I’m sure you can relate!! [I also clean up old sewing projects, run the dishwasher and read my cards – things that might not be as relatable.] Evidently PayMeCache was doing a little yearend cleanup for himself, because he sends me an email of a handful of geocaches we had found that I had never logged. Once I got done laughing at the irony of PMC sending me this kind of email, I decided to be grateful, create a log that can be used with all of these caches and cross another thing off of my last minute 2018 TODO list. I’ll also use this log to reminisce about the hundreds of geocache logs that have been signed over the past year. This is a great sport, made that much more enjoyable when shared with friends. Thank you for creating and maintaining this cache for all of us to enjoy the hunt and find of that little scrap of paper so neatly tucked away in it’s container. TFTC

I am working on finding some puzzles that have been on my list for far too long during some down time.
I'll be honest, this has to be one of my most favorite puzzles ever! I helped benj59 solve this years ago and its been on my list for far too long. Once I figured it out my mind was absolutely blown what you were able to do here. STELLAR execution. I am so glad this cache has remained in play for me to come down and find. And quite frankly I am shocked it doesn't have more favorite points. If ever this cache needs a new owner I would be honored to take over and maintain it.
Job well done. DimensionGarret, Landen24 and weasel311 enjoyed the find and I will happily tell them how to solve this when they are old enough. Thanks to heh324 for joining us today in our search.
Found GC19BPY - ˇThree Amigos! on December 26, 2018 using Cachly for iOS.
Some may call me seriously mentally ill. Some may state that I am in a state of mind that prevents social interaction. Some may say I am in a state of mind that prevents normal perception and or behavior. I prefer to say that I tend to do the same thing over and over again, but I expect different results. That being said, I believe we only live one life and I am trying to make the best of it. I thank you, vorticity for placing a fun geocache to fuel my "insanity" or addiction as I call it. I appreciate you bringing me here so that I can try and sign my alias on a piece of paper that you have hidden.
I look forward to finding more of your geocaches. I also look forward to potentially finding geocaches with you one day and sharing stories of our insanity... I mean hobby or addiction? Cheers!

I added the puzzle image back to the cache page. Also made the hint a little clearer. Vort.

Out a little further to see about a walkabout and decided to pick this one up. Had solved a while back, fun one... cache is in great shape, nice place for one. Actually surprised there’s not more around it. Appreciate the cache!

TFTC! I have to admit I received a lot of help from the CO and I am thankful, wanted to start working on puzzles and I had to pick a hard one for my first one. Cache is in good shape. Also earned the 3 Million Geocache souvenir over the weekend.

Wow that was a crazy puzzle! Three Wise Guys is actually down the street from my house. I solved that one (with help) a few years ago. First puzzle final I ever found actually! So when I saw this reference that cache I figured I was on easy street. Uh no. I reached out to the CO for a hint and sadly became more confused than before! I reached out to another puzzle solver I know and he got stuck too but vowed to work on it. Eventually it all came together. How you made this work is quite something! Always learning something new. And solving this allowed me to solve Three Wise Men!
This is one of my wife's favorite movies. Sadly she wasn't with me to make the find though. My mom was though.
I started the search and my mom walked along the path a bit more. She came back as I was still searching. We were looking everywhere and coming up empty. And then I spotted something very small that wasn't natural. Usually when that happens it's trash. But this time there was something much bigger attached! Thankfully it was the cache!! As I was getting it out a local neighbor gave a hello. We returned the greeting and no more words were exchanged. No idea what he was thinking of us but he left us alone.
I replaced where I found it but it wasn't as buried as it was before.
Thanks for the hide vorticity!

We had plans to do some elk hunting in the area over the next 3 days. so I looked at this puzzle ahead of time to see if I could figure it out. I was not smart enough to solve it, even with the listed hints, so I contacted the cache owner for a nudge. That is all it took for me to finally get the final coords.
We hunted this morning for a few hours, but the wind was so ridiculous that we didn't see any critters at all. After a quick lunch in town, we headed up to the final for this cache and I made quick work of it. The container was damp inside, but I dried it out with a napkin that I had with me. The logbook was also damp, but still very signable; I aired it out as best as I could. There is a yellow golf pencil in the cache and there is still plenty of sighing space in the logbook, so this one should be good to go for a while.
After this cache we tried to get back to hunting, but a forest fire had broken out near Rampart Reservoir. We saw the smoke plume and wondered how bad it was going to get. A few firefighters talked to us at the Rainbow Gulch trailhead as we prepared to enter the woods, and then they told us that they needed to evacuate that area. So we headed back toward our campsite, but another firefighter stopped to tell us that they needed to evacuate that area too. So, we broke down our camp and headed home. Our hunting season has been cut short this year, but now I have the time (and plans) to go find three of the oldest caches in Colorado over the next few days.
This is day 1193 of our current daily caching streak. Thanks again for helping us to extend it by another day.

Yeah! I got a note from the CO, that even though this cache was there, I have permission to log this as a find. I promised to stop & put my name on the log when I get back to the area in the future. Thanks for this very challenging puzzle. I may try to solve the Three Wise Men now.

This is a Note vice a Find as we found this cache on April 18, 2012. With a previous DNF and my living very close by, the CO asked if I could swing by to give it a check. It's still there, but after so long following the previous find, Mother Nature tried to reclaim it as it were, and it was recessed into the very moist ground and completely covered with pine needles. But -- it's still there! Traded some swag and dropped off a trackable that wants to go to only very difficult caches. I think this 4.5 Difficulty cache qualifies. Ready for more cachers !

This one may be there as it was snowing with about 3" of very light stuff on the ground, but we did search pretty thoroughly & had a little hand trowel to brush away the snow. I'll have to watch to see if someone finds it, but I imagine it will be a while as this puzzle is very difficult. In fact I had to have my hand held by a previous finder through the whole thing. I had actually solved (by myself) & found Three Wise Guys, so I thought I would have a chance here-NO WAY. Even with the extreme help & understanding the initial way to get started, to achieve the final coordinates still took 2-3 leaps that are pure luck on the part of any normal thinking. Anyone able to solve this without help has either an innate way of looking at things or just pure stubbornness to try to grind something out.
Hopefully I will get a smilie here someday soon.

You know those puzzles you solve and they sit in your phone forever? Finally got to the final on this one! I love the movie and had to archive my 3 amigos caches so this was extra fun to grab. FTSign new log. Found with sassydil on an adventure.
