A quick park and grab on another fun little country road in southeastern Colorado. Most people travel through this area on the main highway and never explore these great back roads. Please be stealthy and hide as you found it, or better so it cannot be seen from the road. This road seems desolate but has more traffic than you would think during the day.

The view approaching this location is great, and it's a good spot to stop and stretch your legs. Keep an eye out for burrowing owls, hawks, ravens, crows, and antelope.

Cache is about the size of a large pill bottle, with room for small swag. BYOP in case the original has been taken.

{*FTF*} I took a look earlier in the day to see if there were any unfound caches near me. Not so much. This cache looked promising though for my monthly FTF. It is a bit far from the Springs, but I saw that there were a good handful of Spirit Quest caches in the area that I had not yet found. I believe that after today, I need less than 10 more Spirit Quest caches to qualify for a challenge to find 101 of them.
When I was about 1/4 of a mile from the cache, 2 cars passed me. I thought "Oh NO, I missed the FTF!!!" At first when I opened the log, it looked like my suspicions were true. There was already a name with FTF next to it, but then I noticed that it was dated 7/28/20. Well, that's almost 4 years ago and this was published less than a month ago. I was also thrown by all the names pre-printed on the logbook. But I figure I must've gotten the FTF after all.
Now is the point in my log where I breakdown all the stats of this find.
This is the 98th consecutive month that I have gotten at least 1 FTF.
362nd FTF overall.
Another new county with a FTF. My first in Crowley county.
That's my 9th county with a FTF in Colorado and 47th county overall with a FTF.

Thank you GuyGrizzly for placing and maintaining "THIS is Colorado - Little Cache on the Prairie I" for me to find and log. Saturday March 2, 2024 2:57 PM
