We love hiking and enjoy it even more when we can find some nature and solitude to enhance the experience.  This cache is along the start of the trail to Grey Rock.  Enjoy the hike and take time to listen for the birds.  A map of the trail is available at Trail map.

From the parking area use the steps (near the outhouse) to walk toward the River.  Cross the sometimes busy roadway and head down the walk area across the bridge to the start of the trail.  Enjoy.

Cache in place

I guess I'll have to join Denali41 with a DNF here. Didn't stop me from making a thorough search in every place that seemed like a possibility. Not sure what might be happening here.

I hiked up the Greyrock Mountain Trail early this afternoon with my puppies Orizaba and Chimborazo hoping to find this new Pixel Magic cache. It was a cold experience, especially because I was in the ground zero vicinity for more than an hour as I made a focused search for the cache. The area was in deep shade, so I could not benefit on this cold day from any sunshine. The experience reminded me of my initial attempt to find another P M cache soon after it was published--Cricket Mama! The initial listed coordinateas for that cache were about 20 feet from the container, but the problem was corrected. In the case of Nephew Wilbur, I suspect that the given coordinates are in fact pretty accurate; they are in a very logical place for a cache hide. There was quite a bit of snow on the ground that would preclude making a find if the cache were placed quite low. I doubt if that's the case here. After more than an hour of searching and becoming very, very cold, I finally called the pups from their chewing on two deer legs they had discovered, and we made the hike out to parking. Another time...
