I was looking for a good place for a lunchtime walk today and this one popped up. There is still quite a bit of snow in this area, but the big surprise was the new housing development just west of the cache. Last time I was here, construction on that was just starting. Anyway, I found a trailhead west of the cache and hiked through the snow to GZ. It all went well until the last 40 feet. The snow added an extra star or two to the rating. Once at GZ, it was an easy find. TFTC!

Saw the other new cache, get published and darted out the door to try to go get it when he called me and said that she was leaving work. Then I saw that this cache was published and had a change of plans. Z and T headed for the one that was a slightly closer as we were more south than E and E headed for the farthest north new cash.
I didn’t even read the description before getting to the GZ to find out that this one was a 2/3.5. I started out of the house so fast that I left T in his pajamas because that’s what he wanted to stay in today. No shoes even, good thing he was in a thick fleece onesie!!
Being the trooper that he is T was very excited to see “rock volcano“ he even went so far to make sure he told Mom once he saw her later that evening, that we “a rock volcano“ he really is the best crazy, wild adventure, buckaroo while traipsing through the cold snow and “dirt rocks mountain” that we had to get to for an FTF and daily geocache to keep our streak alive! We might just be crazy, and T loves it! I think he’d love outside if he could!!!
